Trust & Safety

CampusShelf is a marketplace that introduces buyers and sellers on the same campus. We don't take payment for textbooks, hold funds, deliver books or act as the seller — you arrange payment and collection directly with each other. Here's how to do it safely.

Meet in public

Prefer busy, public areas on campus — libraries, student centres, food courts — during daylight hours.

Inspect before you pay

Check the edition, condition and that no pages are missing before handing over any money.

Avoid deposits to strangers

Never pay a deposit to reserve a book from someone you haven't met. Pay when you collect.

Protect your accounts

Never share passwords, OTPs or banking details. CampusShelf will never ask for them.

Report suspicious users

Use the Report button on any listing or profile. Our admins review every report.

Meet safely on campus.

If a deal feels wrong, walk away. There will always be another copy of the book.
